Choose from an extensive menu including spiced zucchini fritters with tzatziki, feta and fresh salad, pan-seared chicken livers with bacon, caramelised apple, poached egg and walnuts on toasted ciabatta and eggs benedict with smoked salmon, bacon or roasted field mushrooms, pumpkin and basil pesto. Each diner also receives a glass of Veuve de Vernay Brut to start the day off on an elegant note.

Penelope

Penelope is a café on bustling, fashion-conscious Parnell Road. Open for breakfast, brunch and lunch seven days, Penelope’s all-day menu includes brioche French toast with bacon, poached pears, vanilla cream, berry coulis and honey syrup, mince on toasted sourdough with poached egg and parmesan and crispy NZ calamari on Thai salad with toasted sesame and chili caramel dressing. Some street side seating is available. Penelope welcomes children, and is licensed to keep the adults happy.

The service is awesome. So is the coffee. So is the chicken liver bacon and poached egg on toasted sour dough with caramelised apple & walnuts I just had. Highly recommended.
